Learning and purchase information
At a glance
Buy the named course or collection for yourself or as a gift. The displayed GBP price includes applicable taxes; Stripe shows the final total before you pay. Accounts are normally arranged automatically after verified payment and required checks. Scheduled recipients wait until the gift is due. Individual course and collection access lasts 12 months from activation. Family programme bookings have a fixed shared window from their chosen start: 42 days for Closer Together and Our Family Stories, 14 days for Together for Someone We Love, or 21 days for From Idea to Progress. Request a full refund within 14 days of purchase confirmation, including scheduled gifts. Separate consumer and non-delivery remedies remain protected.
The learner needs usable email, internet and a suitable device; current courses are in English. Read the plain-language buying and gift guide →
Who you are buying from
ICPED is the trading name of Alena Bikinesi, a sole trader. Business correspondence: 27 Ringlet Rd, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7DQ, United Kingdom. Contact hello@icped.online.
Prices and availability
Purchases are available to adult consumers ordinarily resident in an enabled country listed at checkout. The list follows Stripe Managed Payments’ published tax-covered destinations for this UK business and currently contains 82 countries and territories. View available buyer countries. Unsupported or restricted countries are not accepted. Serbia is included only while ICPED is not registered for VAT in Serbia; it is removed from checkout if that status changes. Buyers must be at least 18 and able to enter the purchase contract. This is a purchaser/account requirement, separate from VAT. Reviewed younger-learner gifts use the adult-authority arrangements below. Gifting does not mean the buyer gains access to the learner's private account.
Individual self-paced courses cost £7.99. Closer Together is a fixed £36 family booking for 2–15 named learners, including at least one adult; its six-week access arrangements are explained below. A collection's page and order review identify its included courses, total price and number of named learners. All website prices are GBP. Advertised GBP prices include applicable taxes for Managed Payments purchases. Stripe calculates, collects and handles the applicable indirect tax for these covered transactions. A gift buys the specified learning access, not money, stored credit or a cash-redeemable voucher. There is no ICPED delivery charge, subscription or automatic renewal. Stripe shows the final charge before payment. Any optional currency conversion or card-provider fees are shown or charged by the relevant provider; you can choose GBP where Stripe offers it.
What the purchase includes
Except for family programme bookings, one named learner receives 12 months of online access to the purchased course or collection, beginning when access to those courses is activated, not on the payment date or when an existing account was first created. Learning instructions show the course-access dates. The Care Across the Miles collection assigns five care courses to the recipient and Supporting Care From a Distance to the buyer: two named learners, separate accounts and start dates.
Current courses are in English. You need an email address, internet access and a suitable phone, tablet or computer with an up-to-date browser. Downloadable tools can be used away from the screen; online lessons, interactive activities and knowledge checks require a connection. Translated courses are not included unless specifically listed as available.
A certificate of completion is available where stated on the course page, subject to its completion requirements. It is evidence of completing ICPED learning, not an accredited qualification or professional licence. General education cannot replace individual healthcare, practical handling training, therapy, legal or financial advice. We do not promise a particular health, employment, business or financial outcome.
Family and group programmes
One adult buyer books a final list of 2–15 named participants. Closer Together and Our Family Stories require at least one adult and can include accounts for ages 13–17 with their own usable email and confirmed parent/guardian authority. Together for Someone We Love and From Idea to Progress are for named adults aged 18 or over. Every adult must be happy to receive their own account and joining instructions. The buyer learns only if included in the list. Participants cannot be added or replaced after payment; contact ICPED for a same-person spelling or email correction.
- Closer Together: £36 for the group, 42 days—preparation, four weekly challenges and wrap-up.
- Together for Someone We Love: £17 for the group, 14 days—understand and discuss care, then agree workable support.
- Our Family Stories: £36 for the group, 42 days—preparation, four storytelling challenges and wrap-up.
- From Idea to Progress: £19 for the group, 21 days—plan, report and review a project.
Choose one shared start date and programme time zone before payment. Account access and joining emails are arranged on that date after payment verification. Weekly sections open on the group’s timetable; previous sections remain open until the exclusive end time shown in the booking. A late sign-in does not restart or extend access. Individual courses and collections keep their separate 12-month arrangements.
Read individually in the ICPED learning portal and use your own agreed communication methods for shared activities. No simultaneous session, shared message or personal worksheet upload is required for completion. For Closer Together and Our Family Stories, the buyer must confirm parental responsibility or permission from someone with parental responsibility before entering an account for a participant aged 13–17. The declaration covers account creation and the necessary use of name, email and learning records; a family relationship alone does not establish authority. No separate learner-acceptance or guardian-email step is required for a complete declaration. Children under 13 cannot have an ICPED account and can join only suitable activities through an adult. Other programmes remain adult-account bookings. Each learner keeps their own login and results. Participation does not guarantee a care, relationship, business or project outcome.
Request a full refund within 14 days of purchase confirmation. The scheduled start does not restart that period, and completing lessons does not remove this promise. Refunds go to the purchaser; other statutory remedies remain protected. Earlier orders keep the terms and dates recorded at their purchase.
Ordering and payment
Choose your learning and purchase type, enter buyer and learner details, review the course, total, gift date and terms, and correct any errors before continuing to Stripe. An order becomes a confirmed purchase when payment is verified and ICPED issues confirmation. A cancelled or failed payment does not grant access. Contact us with the order reference if payment appears to have succeeded but confirmation is missing; do not pay twice without checking.
Stripe Managed Payments handles payment through its hosted checkout and Link, which is the payment seller responsible for the covered transaction and its tax handling (the “merchant of record”). The checkout and receipt identify the purchase as “Sold through Link”; your bank statement may show LINK.COM followed by ICPED. Guest checkout is available. Stripe sends the official payment receipt and applicable tax invoice; ICPED sends a separate learning confirmation and saved terms. ICPED remains responsible for the course content, access and its refund promise. Stripe requests your billing address. Provide your genuine usual country of residence and billing address. If they differ, contact ICPED before paying: a mismatch may hold learning and gift delivery for review. Do not select the UK merely because the recipient lives abroad. ICPED stores the order reference and payment status, not the full card number or security code. Your confirmation email includes the purchased learning, price, delivery arrangements and a copy of these terms that you can save. Keep private order and gift links secure.
Learning access and gift delivery
The adult purchaser is the payment customer and receives receipts and any refund. A recipient may live elsewhere and receives only the named learning access; no payment or cash value is transferred to them. Stripe applies tax rules using the transaction information it collects. The recipient’s location and the refund destination do not let us choose an artificial tax country. Restricted locations, account suitability and local requirements may prevent delivery; contact ICPED before purchase if uncertain. If a gift cannot be fulfilled, the purchaser can request a full refund.
Accounts and purchased course access are normally arranged automatically after payment has been verified. Learners sign in with their own email and ICPED learning password. New learners receive a private password-setup link. When moving from the previous Moodle portal, use your existing email and set up a separate learning password; your Moodle password remains unchanged. Learning instructions follow separately by email. Scheduled recipient gifts and access wait until the selected date and time. Allow a short processing delay. Account checks or exceptional arrangements may need personal support. Email arrival can depend on spam filters and the recipient’s mailbox; contact ICPED if instructions are missing, especially if 24 hours have passed.
Gift purchases include the sender's message and a printable PDF voucher, which ICPED emails to the recipient on the selected delivery date after payment verification. Login instructions are emailed separately when access and required account arrangements are ready. The buyer can download the voucher after verified payment. The recipient-only gift link becomes available when the selected delivery time arrives; the buyer can open WhatsApp, choose the recipient and press Send. ICPED’s email delivery still follows the selected delivery date. WhatsApp sharing is optional and sent manually by the buyer; ICPED does not send or schedule WhatsApp messages. Share recipient-only links with the intended recipient, not publicly, and never share the private buyer order link. Keep a scheduled voucher private until you intend to give it.
A voucher records a specific purchase, not cash credit or an automatic enrolment key. Check recipient details carefully and contact us quickly to correct an address or delivery date. For privacy, we may ask for enough information to verify a request. Contact us before purchase if the recipient cannot use email. If an existing ICPED learning account has a different email, tell ICPED before access is arranged.
Before access is arranged, a gift recipient may ask ICPED for one exchange to available learning of the same price. ICPED confirms eligibility and records the change personally. The buyer-only distance-care assignment cannot be transferred by the recipient. An exchange does not create a new cancellation period or remove statutory rights.
Full refund if requested within 14 days of purchase
If the learning is not right for you, request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. The period starts when your purchase is confirmed, not when learning begins or a scheduled gift is delivered. This applies to individual courses, collections and gifts. Use Cancel your purchase and request a full refund, the cancellation button on your private order page, or email hello@icped.online with your order reference. The online form lets you review and confirm your request and emails a dated acknowledgement to the recorded buyer. You do not need to explain why. There is no lesson-completion limit, and starting or completing lessons does not remove this 14-day promise.
Refunds go to the original payer and payment method, without an ICPED cancellation fee, without undue delay and within 14 days of your request. Your bank controls when the money appears. For gifts, the buyer receives the refund. Once refunded, ICPED withdraws access supplied by that purchase and disables its gift links; separately purchased learning remains available.
You also keep your statutory consumer rights, including the usual 14-day cancellation right and rights concerning faulty or misdescribed content. ICPED does not ask you to waive these rights to start learning. The refund promise adds to your rights.

Using learning and asking for help
Use the account for the named learner. Keep passwords private and do not resell, publicly reproduce or distribute the paid course materials. You may use the practical ideas and personal worksheets in your own life and keep permitted downloads for personal use. This does not prevent exercising your consumer rights or sharing the public ICPED website.
If something is wrong, email hello@icped.online with the order reference and a short explanation. Do not send passwords or private medical records. ICPED aims to acknowledge support and complaint messages within two working days; resolution time depends on the issue. For urgent healthcare or personal safety concerns, seek suitable local help rather than waiting for a course reply.
Your mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence continue to apply. For European Union consumers this includes applicable digital-content rights and the usual 14-day withdrawal right; it is not removed by immediate access. You can request cancellation online through /refunds/. For scheduled gifts, the standard refund-request period still runs from purchase confirmation, not the gift date. You do not need to give a reason when requesting cancellation within this period. After it ends, contact us if there is a problem: rights concerning faulty or misdescribed content, non-delivery and account-authority refusals remain separate from the standard change-of-mind promise. Nothing here prevents using the courts or other remedies available to you. Read the privacy information for how buyer and learner details are handled.
A clear start for younger learners
For the four reviewed Future & Independence courses and Ready for What’s Next, ages 13–17 require an adult buyer who can authorise the learner’s account as parent/legal guardian or with permission from someone holding parental responsibility. Confirm one declaration covering the account, the learner’s name/email and necessary learning records, and suitable email/device use. A parent email is not routinely required where authority is already declared. Permission may be discussed in person or by phone; family relationship or financial support alone is not proof of authority.
If permission has not yet been obtained, save the course choice and age/country settings in the current browser session, then return after getting permission. Names, email addresses, personal messages and payment details are not saved by this feature. You can instead choose parent/guardian approval by email, or contact hello@icped.online for an assisted route where email is unsuitable. No account access is supplied while approval is pending or authority is being checked.
For the reviewed youth courses, a complete parent/legal guardian or prior-permission declaration allows automatic account creation after verified payment and the gift date, without an additional country-based review. If the buyer chooses guardian email approval, a private link opens a short account notice and an explicit Yes/No choice; opening the link alone does not approve access. Declarations are recorded as declarations, not verified identity. We may seek proportionate clarification and pause access if details or authority are unclear.
New gifts do not need a separate learner-approval step. Access follows verified payment, the gift date and confirmed authority. The learner receives clear getting-started and privacy guidance. Earlier gifts keep their previously recorded parent/guardian and learner steps. For individual courses and collections, twelve months start when access to the purchased courses is activated. Family programme accounts follow the fixed shared dates shown in the booking, including accounts for ages 13–17. Under-13 online account purchases are not offered. Passwords, grades and private reflections are not automatically supplied to buyers or guardians.
If the parent/guardian does not agree or withdraws authority, ICPED stops access and arranges a full refund to the original purchaser. If account authority is refused, ICPED records the request, completes the refund through Stripe and confirms it separately. The standard 14-day refund-request period does not limit this account-authority refusal remedy or your statutory rights.
